Mark entered the workforce at 16 years old so his father would allow him to get his driver's license. He was a junior in high school with a car payment. His college plans got derailed when his father was diagnosed with cancer his senior year. After his father passed away, he had to become an adult overnight, providing for himself. He worked as a grocery clerk, fast food, HVAC, fixed copy machines, clinical research, mortgage loan originator, and for the past 15 years has been in the voluntary supplemental benefits space where he has thrived. He has been a top producer, trainer, and team leaders. He has taught sales training for his company and his agency several times.
